Two alpine villages, lying amongst the mountains of Aosta Valley, each with its own language and dialect, but both related by common traditions. (Italy – 2011 – Color – HD – Scope – Stereo)

Synopsis

“The kite against the wind is one who goes against the current, against everyone, against the majority… and perhaps this is what I believed I was”. This is what Francesco Nex, an Aosta Valley painter born “elsewhere”, says about himself. On the cusp of ninety, he tells the story of his life, his conflicts, and his art. This film is a voyage through the life of this intriguing, elderly artist in pursuit of his last, great dream.
